That's true, I think the Nintendo Switch might have some Wii-style motion games with the controllers, but that's about it. Was actually thinking of picking up an Xbox360 with a Kinect again, that library of games is pretty solid and there are also other games with some interesting controllers like the ones for the Scene It games, which sadly have no equivalent on modern consoles. I'm looking for a way to control my Windows 8.1 PC via a XBox One kinect sensor. I've done some C# and VB.Net programming but I'd rather use an existing and proven solution. Searching on the web and on this forum, I've found a couple of solution like KinEmote and the demo on Channel 9 but all seems to be for Kinect v1 under Windows 7.

You need a Kinect Adapter in order to use Kinect with an Xbox One S since the new console does not have a port on it that supports your Kinect directly. Microsoft stopped manufacturing both the Kinect Sensor and Kinect Adapter in 2017, so you will need to find them at other retailers like Amazon, eBay or Walmart.

Was wondering if the Xbox One Kinect can be used as a webcam and for Windows Hello in Windows 11? If yes, will drivers update via Windows Update or would they have to be done manually? This thread is locked.
