The off-putting FOV also makes stealth feel weird but that’s a personal opinion. TLDR: some minor improvements but some bigger steps in the wrong direction too. if an enemy is alerted to you and spots you, but you kill him silently before he fires or makes too much noise, it still alerts literally the entire base.
That said, the gameplay /was/ tighter than Far Cry 4. In Far Cry 4 I always felt like there was an issue with the movement and gun controls being a bit on the floaty side, but in Primal it has none of that. Very responsive and on point, and graphically it's a terrific looking game but I feel that Far Cry 4 still wins out in terms of setting.
